Product ReviewsTour de Japon: Music From Final Fantasy DVD NEW / ULTRA RARE! ReviewsAverage Customer Review : ![]() Total Reviews : 1 Write an online review and share your thoughts with other customers. This was life changing., 2007-09-08Reviewer : Christopher - See all my reviews Wow! That's the first word that comes to my mind. Wow! I can't say enough about this DVD. It was amazing. I cannot judge the special features though because I did not see them, but the overall footage of the concert itself was outstanding! I truly loved the conductor. He was enveloped in the spirit of the songs. One conduction of his that really stands out in my mind was the Main Theme of Final Fantasy V. He was very light and airy in his mood and swayed with the strings and rose with the brass. Nobuo Uematsu's themes never stood out so much in my life. I must say I loved his songs before this DVD but when I saw this I was expecting the same old arrangements. But boy was I surprised! I felt like I was watching the games as though they were films in my head! Many of his themes were reminiscent of John Williams and Pjotr Tchaikovsky. But it was more of his own style which was clearly diversified in this film. I had never before seen the Main Theme of Final Fantasy II orchestrated in front of my eyes! And the theme at the end of the Final Fantasy I-III Medley was unbelievably light and cheery! When I watched that segment my eyes widened and I was thinking to myself "Oh my goodness! This theme is one of my favorites but I can't seem to recall its name!" And I still can't remember it! I was so in shock at it that my mind went blank. And the Opera of Maria and Draco was absolutely lovely. But the one time I cried in this whole DVD was when the theme of Final Fantasy X played. "To Zanarkand" they called it. I remember playing that game and only hearing the piano version of the song. But when the orchestra began to perform the tune I was blown away! I never realized that this DVD would be so life-changing. I only wish I owned it because it is truly one of the top collectables on my list of wants. I truly hope that you enjoyed it too.
